Most Interesting Startup Contest Reveal

To borrow a headline from the Wall Street Journal article, on Tuesday, November 15, Office Divvy will do its part to Debunk the Myth of the Lone Entrepreneur. And we’ll do it with style.

At 6 pm on November 15th, at an event hosted at COWORK by Office Divvy, we will reveal the WINNER of our Most Interesting Startup Contest of Flagler County.

A little about the contest: To quote James Allen (the writer of the Wall Street Journal article The Myth of the Lone Entrepreneur),

Far from being disconnected outliers, entrepreneurs thrive best when they operate in tight-knit networks, nurture fellow risk takers, and trade know-how and capital.

That is effective immediately. In less abstract terms, that’s a total of $46,000 worth of value in the way of cash and services from Office Divvy and friends/collaborators. Pretty good, right?

But, in the words of Office Divvy co-founder Ky Ekinci,

“The real premium is the ecosystem. Existing Entrepreneurs investing in the future generation of entrepreneurs…”

To be more specific, we’re talking about Flagler County Startups that are either in Ideation, Pre-Seed or Early-Seed stages, or, in the case of existing business, it must be no more than three years old.

So even if you and your business aren’t on the receiving end here, even if you didn’t even apply, or even if you don’t even have a business, come out on the 15th and support a true standout of the new class. At the very least, you’ll learn about an innovative, forward-looking new business in town. And that’s always interesting…
